According to reports, MagicOS 7.0 is also based on Android, although its name is different from the previous Magic UI. Honor said that MagicOS 7.0 can provide a seamless user experience for different platforms and devices, and devices using different operating systems can achieve system-level connections with MagicOS devices.

In addition to the user interface changes, MagicOS 7.0 can utilize a set of keyboards and mice to control the three platforms laptops, smartphones, and tablets. With this new feature, users can seamlessly transfer files between devices, such as typing text on a smartphone or tablet using a laptop keyboard.

Honor also said it’s expanding its partnership with Microsoft to make Windows “Your Phone” Phone Link available for international versions of Honor devices as well. This feature allows users to connect some Honor smartphones to Windows PCs without installing additional apps, thereby taking better advantage of cross-device features, including viewing phone notifications, making and receiving calls, etc. Open the mobile app.

According to reports, the Honor Magic 4 Pro is one of the first smartphones to support Phone Link, and the new Honor 70 will also support Phone Link after the update. In addition, at the IFA show, Honor also talked about its new “Honor Spatial Audio Surround Sound” solution, which enables headphones to produce cinema-quality 3D surround effects.

Honor’s surround sound solution is said to be designed to provide surround sound and 3D sound through the headset, using the headset’s accelerometer and gyroscope to track the user’s head movements and remapping the sound field accordingly in movies, music, and games. This algorithm can be used to simulate changes in sound as it travels from the sound source to the listener’s ear. These effects include sound source localization above, below, behind, and in front of the listener.

According to Honor, its surround sound solution is the first to support sound distance adjustment. This offers the possibility to dynamically adjust the distance of the virtual sound source to 10-15 cm for a more personalized listening experience.

As part of its IFA keynote speech, Honor also announced that it has joined multiple IoT alliances including Matter and Ola, and brought a new developer service platform to provide developers with direct support and A service that provides software developers with the opportunity to submit apps through the platform, App Market and Game Center.

As a final note, Honor announced during its IFA keynote a project called “Gateway to the Future,” a new HONOR Talents program aimed at enriching cultural heritage through technology. In collaboration with ARLOOPA, Honor is said to have challenged artists Yunuene and Timo Helgert to redesign the iconic Wasserschloss building in Hamburg’s Warehouse City and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
