Vivo's new foldable phone makes multitasking easier
Vivo is introducing a cool new feature called "Atomic Workbench" with its upcoming X Fold 5, set to launch on June 25. This tool lets you use up to five apps at the same time on the phone’s big foldable screen. One app takes up most of the space, while four others stay open in smaller windows. You can tap any small window to make that app the main one, and the others shift around without closing.

This is great for things like playing a game while checking messages or watching a video. Unlike older multitasking systems, Atomic Workbench keeps all apps running smoothly, so you don’t lose what you’re doing when you switch. It builds on ideas from OnePlus’s Open Canvas but goes further by handling more apps at once.

For example, you could be in a video call, checking a presentation, and keeping an eye on stock prices, all without stopping your game. The X Fold 5 also promises a slim design, a powerful battery, and even works with Apple Watch, which is rare for Android phones. While it launches in China first, a global release might happen later. This feature could make foldable phones much more useful for getting things done.
