US strikes Iran’s nuclear sites, Trump warns of more action
President Donald Trump announced that U.S. airstrikes had destroyed three major nuclear facilities in Iran: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. Speaking from the White House, he called the operation a “huge success” and praised the U.S. military for its precision. Trump said the strikes were meant to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons, which he sees as a major threat.

The U.S. joined Israel’s ongoing efforts to weaken Iran’s nuclear program after days of Israeli attacks on Iranian military targets. Trump warned Iran to make peace with Israel quickly or face even stronger attacks in the future. He said there are still many targets left that the U.S. could hit if needed. Iran’s government admitted the strikes hit their nuclear sites but claimed they would not stop their nuclear work.

They also warned of serious consequences for the U.S. actions. Some experts question how much damage was done, especially at Fordow, which is built deep underground to resist such attacks. Iran’s state TV suggested only minor damage occurred. The strikes have raised fears of a bigger conflict in the Middle East.

Trump’s decision to get involved directly marks a shift from his earlier promise to avoid foreign wars. Critics, like U.S. House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, say Trump acted without Congress’s approval and risks pulling the U.S. into a dangerous war.
