Trump upset over Israel-Iran ceasefire issues
President Donald Trump expressed frustration with Israel and Iran for not following a ceasefire he announced the previous night. Speaking to reporters before heading to a NATO summit in The Hague, Netherlands, Trump used strong language, saying both countries have been fighting for so long they seem confused about their actions. When asked if he thought Iran still wanted peace, Trump replied that both nations broke the ceasefire, but he believes they can still work toward peace.

Trump had shared on social media Monday evening that Israel and Iran agreed to a ceasefire to end nearly two weeks of intense air strikes. The plan included two 12-hour pauses in fighting, starting with Iran at midnight EDT, followed by Israel. After 24 hours, the conflict would be declared over, Trump said. However, both sides accused each other of violating the truce. Israel claimed Iran fired missiles, while Iran denied it.

Trump spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, firmly urging him to stick to the ceasefire. A White House source said Netanyahu understood the seriousness of the situation. Neither Israel nor Iran has publicly responded to Trump’s comments. The ceasefire, meant to stop the recent violence, remains fragile as both nations navigate their next steps.
