Trump mobile drops 'Made in USA' label
Trump Mobile, a new phone service launched by the Trump Organization, recently removed claims that its first smartphone, the T1 Phone, would be made in the United States. When the company first announced the phone, it said the device would be proudly designed and built in America. However, the website now describes the T1 Phone as “brought to life in the USA” with “American values in mind,” avoiding any promise of U.S. manufacturing.

This change comes after experts questioned whether the phone could truly be made in America. Many pointed out that the T1 Phone’s features looked similar to a model produced by a Chinese company. Building a smartphone entirely in the U.S. is seen as difficult due to the complex global supply chain for tech parts. Eric Trump, in an interview, mentioned that the company hopes to make all Trump phones in the U.S. eventually, but didn’t confirm current production locations.

The company also updated other details on its website. The phone’s screen size is now smaller, and the planned September 2025 shipping date has been removed. These changes suggest Trump Mobile may be rethinking its plans or suppliers. For now, the focus seems to be on promoting the phone as an American-inspired product rather than one fully made in the U.S.

This shift has sparked discussions, with some critics on social media platforms like X pointing out the change as a sign of unclear promises. Trump Mobile’s network is run by a company registered at a luxury apartment, adding to the questions about its operations.
