Trump criticizes New York city Mayoral candidate Mamdani

On June 25, 2025, President Donald Trump sharply criticized Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic nominee for New York City mayor, after Mamdani’s surprising win in the primary election. In posts on Truth Social, Trump called Mamdani a “100% Communist Lunatic” and claimed the Democratic Party had gone too far by choosing him.

He also mocked Mamdani’s appearance and voice, saying he “looks TERRIBLE” and isn’t smart, while attacking his supporters, including Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Chuck Schumer.
