Starting June 24, T-Mobile is rolling out three new prepaid plans that come with a five-year price guarantee, ensuring the cost for talk, text, and 5G data stays the same. These plans are designed to offer great value compared to competitors like AT&T and Verizon, with savings of at least 20% for a single line.
The cheapest plan, called Starter, costs $40 a month and includes unlimited talk, text, and 5G data.
The Unlimited plan, now priced at $45 a month (down from $50), adds unlimited hotspot data at 3G speeds. For those needing more, the Unlimited Plus plan offers 5GB of high-speed hotspot data, but after that, it switches to 3G speeds too.
T-Mobile’s new plans build on their earlier moves, like the Metro by T-Mobile and Experience plans, which also come with a five-year price lock.
This guarantee doesn’t cover taxes or fees, but it gives customers peace of mind that their core plan costs won’t rise for five years. The plans also include perks like T-Mobile Tuesdays, offering weekly discounts and rewards.
Compared to Verizon’s unlimited prepaid plan with 5GB of hotspot data or AT&T’s option with 10GB for $25 a month, T-Mobile’s offerings stand out for their price stability and extras. These plans are perfect for budget-conscious users looking for reliable 5G service without worrying about price hikes.
