Samsung’s One UI 8: What’s coming for Galaxy tablets
Samsung kicked off the One UI 8 beta for its Galaxy S25 phones in late May 2025, letting users try new features early. However, Galaxy tablet owners are still waiting, as the update is being tested internally for tablets. Thanks to a sneak peek from @SammyGuru, we now have a glimpse of One UI 8 running on the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, showing what’s in store.

This early version (build CYF3) reveals some cool updates. One UI 8 adds a sleek blur effect to the Quick Panel and notification area, keeping the background faintly visible when you swipe down. This small tweak gives the interface a fresh, modern vibe. The update also spruces up the My Files app, making it easier to navigate and use.

The stable One UI 8, based on Android 16, is set to launch with Samsung’s new foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7, in July 2025. Galaxy S25 users might get it soon after, with other devices like the S24 and Z Fold6 following. For tablets, the wait continues, but this preview suggests exciting changes are coming. Keep an eye on your device’s settings for updates, as Samsung’s beta program may expand to include tablets soon.
