Samsung’s new Watch software beta coming soon to the US
Samsung is getting ready to launch the One UI 8 Watch Beta program in the United States and South Korea. This update, built on Wear OS 6, will bring exciting new features to Galaxy Watch users. However, it’s only for Galaxy Watch 5 and newer models, meaning Galaxy Watch 4 owners won’t get this update. The beta program will let users try out new tools like Bedtime Guidance to improve sleep, Vascular Load to check stress levels during sleep, a Running Coach for personalized training, and an Antioxidant Index to track healthy aging.

These features aim to make your smartwatch experience better and more helpful. If you’re in the US or South Korea and own a Galaxy Watch 5 or later, you can join the beta through the Samsung Members app. The program will start soon, giving a limited number of users a chance to test it before the official release.

The stable version of One UI 8 Watch is expected to launch with the Galaxy Watch 8 series in July 2025. Sadly, Galaxy Watch 4 users might miss out since Samsung typically provides three years of updates, and the Watch 4’s support is nearing its end. If you want the latest features, you might need to upgrade to a newer model like the Galaxy Watch 7 or Ultra. Keep an eye on Samsung’s official channels for updates on how to join the beta and explore these new features.
