Samsung is set to launch a powerful 200-megapixel camera sensor called the ISOCELL HP5, which will likely be featured in Oppo’s upcoming high-end smartphone, the Find X9 Pro. This sensor is expected to enhance the phone’s periscope camera, delivering stunning photo quality, especially for zoomed-in shots.
The ISOCELL HP5 is smaller than its sibling, the ISOCELL HP9, with a 1/1.56-inch size and tiny 0.05-micron pixels.
Despite its compact design, it supports advanced Dual Conversion Gain HDR technology, which improves clarity and color in bright and low-light conditions. This makes it ideal for capturing detailed images, even in tricky lighting.
Oppo’s Find X9 Pro is rumored to be the first phone to use this cutting-edge sensor for its periscope camera, setting a new standard for smartphone photography.
The device may also include a triple-camera setup with a 50-megapixel main camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, offering versatility for different shooting scenarios.
This collaboration highlights Samsung’s leadership in camera technology and Oppo’s commitment to delivering top-tier features. The Find X9 series is expected to launch soon, possibly as early as September 2025, and could redefine what users expect from flagship phone cameras.
