The OnePlus Watch 3 is getting a new 43mm version, but it comes with a trade-off: less battery life compared to the larger 47mm model. Leaks suggest this smaller smartwatch will have a 345mAh battery, lasting about 72 hours, or three days, of use. The bigger 47mm version, however, can run for over 100 hours, which is more than four days.
That’s a full day’s difference, which might matter if you want a watch that lasts longer between charges.
Despite the smaller battery, the 43mm OnePlus Watch 3 still offers solid features. It runs on both Wear OS and RTOS, which helps save power while keeping the watch smooth and functional. The display is a 1.32-inch AMOLED screen with a 466 x 466 resolution, making it sharp and clear.
Leaked images show a design similar to the larger model, so it should still look sleek and modern.
OnePlus confirmed the 43mm size to give users a more compact option, as the 47mm watch might feel too big for some wrists. While the smaller size is great for comfort, the reduced battery life could be a downside for heavy users. Full details, including pricing and release date, are expected soon, with a possible launch on July 8, based on recent posts found on X.
