Google Drive has introduced two exciting updates for its Android app, making it easier to upload files and watch videos. These changes bring a fresh, user-friendly look to the app.
When you upload files on Android (or iOS), the app now gives you more control. After picking a file, you can rename it, choose a different Google account if you’re signed into multiple ones, or select a specific folder.
Once the upload starts, a small progress bar appears at the bottom of the screen, showing how many files are uploading and how long it will take. You can tap it to see more details or check the Uploads page in the app’s menu. A notification also keeps you updated, so you’re never left guessing.
The video player has also been revamped.
It now has a modern design with smoother controls, making it easier to play, pause, or skip through videos. These updates aim to improve your experience, whether you’re saving important files or enjoying a quick video.
Google is rolling out these changes gradually, so you might see them soon if you haven’t already. The updates make Google Drive more convenient and enjoyable to use on your phone.
