Ford’s powerful electric Mustang Mach-E ready for pikes peak
Ford has revealed an exciting new electric Mustang Mach-E built for the 2025 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. This supercharged race car, called the Super Mustang Mach-E, packs an impressive 1,421 horsepower and is designed to tackle the tough 12.42-mile course with 156 turns in Colorado’s Rockies. The car features three electric motors and a 50 kWh battery, making it lighter and faster than Ford’s previous Pikes Peak vehicles.

Its carbon-fiber body includes wide fenders and a huge rear wing, creating up to 6,900 pounds of downforce at 150 mph to keep it steady on the mountain’s sharp curves. The vehicle also has strong carbon brakes and lightweight magnesium wheels for better control. Romain Dumas, a skilled driver with four Pikes Peak wins, will race the Super Mustang Mach-E on June 22, 2025.

After victories with Ford’s SuperVan in 2023 and F-150 Lightning SuperTruck in 2024, Dumas aims for another win. Ford’s Mark Rushbrook says this car shows how electric vehicles can push limits in high-altitude races. This Mustang Mach-E isn’t just for racing—it’s a test for Ford’s future electric cars. With its bold design and incredible power, it’s set to make history at Pikes Peak while proving electric vehicles can be thrilling and strong.
