Samsung is making gaming on Galaxy phones and tablets quicker and smoother with a new feature in One UI 8. The updated Game Booster app now pre-downloads game updates, so you don’t have to wait for extra files to load when you start a game. This means you can jump into your favorite games faster, even if they need additional data after being installed from the Galaxy Store or Play Store.
The Game Booster also predicts how long a game will take to load based on your device’s performance. It speeds up the game’s opening animation to match the loading time, ensuring a seamless start. This feature aims to make gaming feel instant, especially for heavy games that usually take longer to open.
One UI 8, built on Android 16, is still in its beta phase, and these gaming improvements are part of the latest Game Booster update (version 7.0.51.13).
While some features like 4D vibration and voice changer were mentioned in earlier updates, the focus here is on faster load times. Samsung warns that using these boosts might use more battery or make your phone slightly warmer during intense gaming sessions.
This upgrade will likely roll out to devices like the Galaxy S25, S24, and others when One UI 8 launches officially. Gamers can look forward to a better experience with less waiting and more playing.
