Tech billionaire Elon Musk recently addressed rumors about his drug use by sharing the results of a drug test. The move comes after claims surfaced that he was using ketamine regularly before the U.S. presidential election. Musk, known for leading Tesla and SpaceX, posted on X, reposting a follower’s comment: “If Elon is on any drugs, I want what he’s having.”
He added, “If you’ve used too much ketamine, you can’t get work done, and I have a lot of work.”
The rumors started with a New York Times report suggesting Musk received warnings about drug tests at SpaceX, a company required to maintain a drug-free workplace due to government contracts. The report also claimed Musk used recreational drugs like ecstasy and magic mushrooms, beyond his admitted medical use of ketamine for depression.
Musk’s decision to share his test results aims to counter these allegations.
This isn’t the first time Musk’s drug use has been in the spotlight. A 2018 Joe Rogan podcast moment, where he appeared to smoke marijuana, went viral, sparking memes and discussions. Recently, a crypto fan account on X, followed by Musk, shared a meme referencing that event. By releasing his test results, Musk seeks to set the record straight and focus on his demanding work schedule, dismissing claims that could harm his reputation or businesses.
