Due to the serious heat problem of the Snapdragon 888 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chips previously released by Qualcomm and manufactured by Samsung, many manufacturers have launched dual-version flagship phones, such as Vivo this year.
The Vivo X80 Pro flagship phone released on April 25 is available with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip. Today, a revealer revealed some information about the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 iterative chip.
According to the revealer @Digital Chat Station, the delivery time of the Dimensity 9000 iterative chip is much earlier than that of the Dimensity 9000, and the first terminal product equipped with the Dimensity 9000 iterative chip will be released at the end of the year.
In terms of performance, the device equipped with the Dimensity 9000 iterative chip outperformed the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Considering that many models equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will also be released at the end of the year, this time Qualcomm and MediaTek can be described as “the flagship chip duel at the shipping gate”.
According to a previous report, the revealer said on September 15 that next year, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 may have an ultra-high frequency version, and the GPU scale will be increased on the basis of this year. Dimensity 9 series iterative chips continue to pile up CPUs.
The revealer also said that because the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chip itself uses TSMC’s 4nm process technology, next year’s flagship chip will not have a major update for half a year like this year, and the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 chip in the second half of next year will only be Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip overclocked version.
Moreover, the breaking information shows that the first batch of mobile phones equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen2 is planned to be released after Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit. It is tentatively scheduled for the second half of November, and the first manufacturers are progressing normally. The Xiaomi 13 series, Redmi K60 series, Vivo X90 series, etc. will all be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
