ASUS ROG Crosshair X670E Extreme flagship motherboard will be equipped with new PCIe 5.0 SSD riser card

According to the latest report, ASUS ROG’s Crosshair X670E Extreme flagship motherboard will be equipped with a new PCIe 5.0 SSD card, which can be inserted into the extra slot on the right side of the motherboard. This is a ROG proprietary riser card with an M.2 slot on each side, one supports PCIe 4.0, the other supports PCIe 5.0, and both slots support SSDs with a maximum length of 110mm.

Additionally, the PCIe 5.0 slots have dedicated heatsinks to assist with cooling. Since this riser card is designed perpendicular to the motherboard, it can access more chassis airflow and will have better cooling performance.

Moreover, the ROG Crosshair X670E Extreme flagship motherboard has now been officially released and is expected to be launched with the Ryzen 7000 series processors on September 27. Here are the details of this motherboard.

ASUS Motherboard PCIe 5.0The ROG Crosshair X670E Extreme will support a new generation of DDR5 memory with data rates 50% faster than the previous generation of DDR4 memory, and the motherboard features numerous hardware and firmware optimizations that push overclocking to the absolute limit.

In terms of interfaces, the ROG Crosshair X670E Extreme provides a front-panel USB 3.2 Gen 2 2×2 connector, supports Quick Charge 4+, and can achieve 60W charging. Equipped with two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, this motherboard is ready for future graphics cards; it also offers five M.2 slots, four of which support PCIe 5.0 x4 mode; and six SATA 6Gbps ports.
