According to the digital blogger @Digital Chat Station today, the first batch of mobile phones equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen2 is planned to be released after Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit. It is tentatively scheduled for the second half of November, and the blogger said that the progress of the first manufacturers is OK. According to the blogger’s previous revelations, the Xiaomi Mi 13 series, Redmi K60 series, and Vivo X90 series will all be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor.

On July 9 this year, well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that due to the lack of competitiveness of Samsung’s own Exynos 2300 processor, the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will only be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. On the same day, digital blogger @i Ice Universe broke the news that several major manufacturers have begun testing the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 and are very satisfied with the test results. Compared with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1, the comprehensive energy efficiency of the new flagship processor Snapdragon 8 Gen2 will be improved by at least 15%.

Moreover, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Technology Summit last year was held from December 1 to 2, 2021, when it brought the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chip, and Qualcomm also launched the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chip. As Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is also expected to be manufactured by TSMC and still use the 4nm process.
