Xiaomi 12S Ultra has upgraded version of Surging C1 ISP chip

As Xiaomi’s flagship this year, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra has been on the market for nearly a month. At present, the reputation is very good, especially the imaging system after the joint name with Leica.

The official also announced that the Mi 12S Ultra is equipped with two self-developed chips, namely Surging P1 and Surging G1. One is in charge of charging and the other is in charge of battery management, which can bring a lot of bonuses in battery life and fast charging.

However, many people have wondered why the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, which is the flagship of the image, did not have the self-developed Surging C1 chip, which made the mobile phone take pictures a step further.

Now, here comes the answer. A few days ago, a blogger posted a disassembly diagram of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, which shows that there is actually a third chip with the Xiaomi logo printed on the motherboard of the device, and there is a “C2” logo below it, which is very likely to be an upgraded version of the Surging C1 ISP chip.

Moreover, this chip occupies a very large area, and the corresponding functions should not be small. Otherwise, Xiaomi would not spend energy placing this chip on the motherboard.

According to blogger Li Angangang, Xiaomi’s current development of this chip is not perfect, and the corresponding functions have not been fully realized, so there is no corresponding publicity in the early stage and release.

This should also be a helpless move to bring the model to the market as soon as possible, but I have to praise Xiaomi’s “conscience” in publicizing this time and did not release the function in advance for the sake of attracting attention, and then marked it in small print on the promotional image.
