Xiaomi ranks eighth in 2021 China Internet Advertising Data Report

The “2021 China Internet Advertising Data Report” was released yesterday. Overall, China’s Internet advertising market will be stable and improving in 2021, with a year-on-year increase of 9.32%. The top 5-10 are JD.com, Meituan-Dianping, Kuaishou, Xiaomi, Weibo, and Pinduoduo.

The report shows that in 2021, China’s Internet industry will benefit from the growth of endogenous demand and achieve advertising revenue of 543.5 billion yuan (excluding Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions), a year-on-year increase of 9.32%, and a growth rate has slowed down by 4.53 percentage points from the previous year.

Moreover, the size of the Internet marketing market was approximately RMB 617.3 billion, an increase of 12.36% over the previous year, and the total size of the advertising and marketing market was approximately RMB 1,160.8 billion, an increase of 11.01% over the previous year.

According to the report, in 2021, the concentration of China’s Internet advertising market will increase rather than decrease compared with last year, with TOP10 accounting for 94.85% of the market share, while the market share of TOP4 companies will further increase to 78.2%.

Furthermore, Alibaba, ByteDance, and Tencent’s advertising revenue are in the top three positions, and the top two revenue each exceeds 100 billion yuan. Baidu’s advertising revenue will resume growth in 2021 after experiencing a decline in the previous year, maintaining its fourth position.
