On December 28, Xiaomi officially introduced Xiaomi 12 series in China. The lineup consist three devices including Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, and Xiaomi 12X. As the name mentions, Xiaomi 12 Pro is the top high-end phone among three.
It comes with all the latest and most advanced features that we could expect from any flagship of this age. It features Samsung E5 OLED LTPO display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, a 50MP custom Sony IMX707 sensor, a 4,600mAh battery with 120W fast charge, and more.

Xiaomi 12 Pro specifications
Display
Xiaomi 12 Pro displays a 6.73-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with 3200 x 1440 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate (variable from 1Hz to 120Hz), 480Hz touch sampling rate, peak brightness of 1500nits, 12bit colors, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision support.
This is a 2K Samsung E5 OLED 1-120Hz LTPO display that uses micro-lens technology—elevating viewing experience while increasing smart energy-saving capability. The screen has TrueColor display, and professional color calibration that allows accurate representation of 1.07 billion colors on the display.
Processor
The device is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. It is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, which supports up to 6400Mbps transfer rate and new generation UFS 3.1 that offers sequential write speeds of up to 1450MBs.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 comes with a much-improved GPU and AI engine, which are claimed to be 52% and 400% faster respectively over the last gen. Temps are kept under control with a 2600mm² super large VC liquid cooling unit.
Software
Xiaomi 12 Pro will run Android 12 based MIUI 13 OS out of the box. To be noted, MIUI 13 has uncovered at the same event.
Camera
As of camera, the phone features 50 MP triple rear camera. The camera setup includes a 50MP custom Sony IMX707 primary sensor with an ultra-large 1/1.28″ sensor, a 50MP JN1 sensor for the 115° ultra-wide camera and a 50MP 2x telephoto camera for portrait shots. On the front, there’s a 32MP shooter for selfies.
The camera is equipped with smart visual tracking capability that can simultaneously identify human eyes and figures, as well as pets, for stable and accurate focusing. The advanced machine learning algorithm allows the system to quickly analyze features of the focused subject, even if shape, angle, or color change. This offers stable and smooth tracking for moving objects, just by double tapping.
Battery
Xiaomi 12 Pro packs a 4,600mAh battery taht supports 120W single cell fast charging. It can charge the device from 0 to 100% in just 18 minutes, thanks to Xiaomi’s own Surge P1 charging chip. In addition, it also sports 50W wireless charging for 100% charge in 42 minutes and 10W reverse wireless charging.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro comes in Black, Blue, and Purple colors with a glass back and Green vegan leather version. It is available to order from Dece,ber 28 and will go on sale in China starting from December 31st. Its prices are as follows –
