Xiaomi is all set to introduce Xiaomi 12 series and MIUI 13 skin on December 28. So far, it wasn’t confirmed whether Xiaomi 12 will run MIUI 13 OS or not. Now the company has officially revealed that Xiaomi 12 series will come pre-installed with MIUI 13 version.
Many reports say that the upcoming MIUI 13 is only Android 12 based, however, the officials are yet to confirm this. Well, in the case of Xiaomi 12, MIUI 13 will be based on Android 12. Thus, the smartphones will be the first to run Android 12 based MIUI 13 OS out of the box.
Anyways, recently, the OEM uncovered some of the features of MIUI 13. Going by the report, the new MIUI has made great progress and it features several major changes and improvements over the current MIUI 12.5.
It mainly focuses on smoothness and fluency and the company has increased its system fluency by 15% to 52%, when compared to the older version. Moreover, the applications will work faster as well. On the other hand, for faster read and write times, MIUI 13 also concentrates on Focus Computing 2.0, Liquid Storage, and Atomic Memory.

While considering the battery, the base model could have a 4,500mAh lithium cobalt oxide battery that supports 67W fast charging and 30W wireless charging. The pro model will support 120W fast charging.
