So far, we have witnessed several leaks and rumors about the upcoming Xiaomi flagship device dubbed Xiaomi 12. Today, the tech giant has officially confirmed its launch, which will happen at the end of this month.
Yes, Xiaomi has officially announced through a Weibo post that Xiaomi 12 smartphone will launch on December 28. The poster shows Chinese sprinter Su Bingtian supporting the Xiaomi 12 series.
Unfortunately, the poster doesn’t reveal any other information on the side of specs and features. Since the company has finally confirmed its arrival, we believe that it will soon uncover some of the key features of awaiting Xiaomi 12.
Besides these, earlier this month, alongside the launch of Qualcomm’s new chipset, Xiaomi also announced that Xiaomi 12 will feature the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Notably, this is the first chipset to bear Qualcomm’s new naming scheme, bypassing the triple-digit numbering system that Qualcomm has previously used for new, generation-based monikers.
JOIN XIAOMI ON TELEGRAM
Similar to last year’s Mi 11 that was the first to equip Snapdragon 888 SoC, it was expected that Xiaomi 12 will also be the first to use Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. However, this speculation goes wrong as Motorola has already introduced Moto Edge X30 featuring Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 on December 9.
Besides this, a few days ago, Xiaomi 12 smartphone with 67W fast charging capacity was spotted at China Compulsory Certification database. On the other hand, Digital Chat Station said that the phone will pack a 4,500mAh battery.
Other than 3C, Xiaomi 12 will reportedly equip a 2K screen with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate adjustment, which is able to switch according to the usage scenario. Aside from this, Xiaomi 12 will be featuring a 50MP telephoto and an ultra-wide lens set up.
A recent report reveals that the upcoming phone will sport a triple camera setup on the rear, which features an AG glass body, similar to the current Xiaomi CiVi.
