Well, you don’t need to get worried about it. Here we share some tips that will allow you to increase the battery life of your Xiaomi smartphone. If you are also fading up with the low battery, do check the easy tips mentioned below.

  • Deactivate the search for WiFi or Bluetooth networks automatically

There is an option in MIUI which is activated by default and consumes extra battery. It’s about automatically discovering WiFi or Bluetooth networks, even if we have these connections disabled. To deactivate this option:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Enter Search for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
  3. Deactivate the two options –
    1. Search for WiFi networks
    2. Search for Bluetooth devices
  • Prevent your smartphone screen from turning on with each new notification

By default, our Xiaomi screen turns on automatically whenever we receive a notification. This is quite power-consuming, especially if we are constantly receiving messages from groups, etc.

To prevent your smartphone screen from turning on every time you receive a notification, all you have to do is:

  1. Access Settings
  2. Go to the Lock screen
  3. Click on Activate lock screen for notifications
  4. Deactivate the notification lights

  • Turn of automatic brightness

Automatic brightness allows us to always have the screen displayed in an optimal way according to the amount of light around us. Of course, this means that the ambient light sensor is always working, constantly modulating the screen brightness and therefore consuming energy.

To do this, Xiaomi has implemented Daytime Mode, which allows us to deactivate automatic brightness, which automatically increases in level when entering environments with a lot of light. To activate it:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click on Screen
  3. Enter Brightness level
  • Take advantage of dark backgrounds

If your phone has an AMOLED screen, you can benefit from this technique by applying a theme where the color black predominates, as this color is achieved by turning off the screen pixels and therefore saving energy.

An example of this is Soft Night. It is a dark theme that allows you to save the battery of your phone without requiring any adjustments, just applying it as if it were any other customizable theme.
