Xiaomi is currently hyping an annual launch event in China that will be held this December. In the event, the tech giant is said to introduce Xiaomi 12 smartphones. Alongside this, there are rumors that MIUI 13 will be introduced as well.
Recently, xiaomiui revealed that Xioami has begun testing its MIUI 13 skin on 7 of its flagship phones that are running on Android 12 Beta. The same tipster has again come across and exposed that the Chinese company has also begun testing the new MIUI on the upcoming Xiaomi 12X.
The leakster has spotted internal beta builds of the software with the build numbers V220.127.116.11.RLDMIXM global and V18.104.22.168.RLDCNXM in China. These build numbers clearly unveil that the software release will be based on Android 11.
Previously, there were reports that unlike the old versions of MIUI that are based on at least two Android versions, the MIUI 13 will be completely different as it will only be based on Android 12. But as of now, it seems the different case.
Anyways, one should be noted that since we are still a few months away from the Xiaomi 12X launch, Xiaomi may update the device to the Android 12-based MIUI 13 release.
