In the recent development, the company has begun sending the MIUI 12.5 stable version update for Redmi 9A smartphones in China. This update brings several new features, changes, and improvements along with the August 2021 Android security patch.

A per a report shared by a Redmi 9A user, it adds Android gesture Turbo, which is extremely fast and smooth. It further adds a new computing power upgrade, 20 times rendering power, new model classification, and makes a phone lighter faster, and smoother.
Moreover, the changelog for the update also mentions a new MIUI light cone motion effect architecture, greatly improving the full-scene animation experience and top-notch aesthetics and dynamic design, synaesthesia is visible and feels real.
Besides these, the new firmware also focuses on privacy improvements. It adds clipboard privacy protection, internet anti-tracking, new privacy risk detection, album pictures to prevent accidental deletion, etc. Also, each app now comes with its own privacy instructions.
