Earlier in July, Xiaomi began releasing the stable MIUI 12.5 update for Redmi Note 7 smartphones in China. Later, the tech giant rolled out it for global ROM users. And now, the update reached Europe and Russia.
Along with several new and improved features, the fresh firmware also brings the August 2021 Android security patch for system security and stability enhancement. It also protects a phone from bugs and viruses.

Coming to MIUI 12.5, it makes a phone lighter, faster, and durable, when compared to the previous version of MIUI. It further fixes the problem that noise could be heard when the screen was turned off in some cases.
Moreover, the changelog mentions, compose mind maps with complex structures, new tools for doodling and sketching, as well as press and hold a sketch option to adjust the strokes automatically.
In addition, a gesture shortcut now allows you to create notes, tasks, and excerpts anywhere, excerpts save text, URLs, and images to Notes in a few simple taps, and dynamic layouts bring the typography in Notes to a new level.
