Poco F3 users facing random reboot issues after updating to MIUI 12.5 Enhanced

Launched later in March this year, Poco F3 is a popular smartphone of Xiaomi. It comes with a number of the latest hardware and software features. Recently, the smartphone has received the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced version update globally.

But soon after the update was released, Poco F3 users started complaining about the bugs that the firmware carries. Apparently, it’s supposed to address the overheating issues experienced by random users.

However, there has been a case of the random reboot on Poco F3 phones, in which a moderator on the Poco community forum tagged a heating issue. According to users, the phone isn’t actually heating up but still reboots.

In addition, auto-brightness is not enabled for some users facing this issue which they should have disabled. However, a detailed analysis done reveals that the ‘framework’ is the reason behind the random reboots.

Xiaomi promised to fix most of the problems affecting its phones with MIUI 12.5 Enhanced, but that doesn’t seem to be the case at the moment. The company may have rolled out the update in a hurry, as we did expect its release next month.

Other than this, before the updates are rolled out, they have to pass an internal test. However, some bugs can escape internal testing, which is the reason for Mi Pilots. They are probably the few people with Poco F3 who have random reboot problems.

Anyways, whatever the reason is, at the moment we suggest you avoid the latest Poco F3 update until the root cause of the random reboot is detected. What about those who have already updated their phones? They need to turn off the memory extension feature to fix the problem.
