Xiaomi fixes notification, weather app issues via new MIUI 12.5 beta update

Xiaomi has begun rolling out a new MIUI 12.5 beta update to its eligible Mi and Redmi smartphones in China. The fresh firmware that can be identified via build version 21.9.3 and 21.9.4, brings a few bug fixes and optimizations.

Following the changelog, the update fixes an issue where after long-pressing a single notification and clicking “More Settings” could not jump to the settings page. Notably, the issue has been fixed for Mi Pad 5 Pro.

In addition, it solves the overlap between air quality and precipitation probability modules in large font mode problem as well as optimizes novel performance and enhance reading experience in the Weather and Browser application respectively.

Other than this, we know that Xiaomi has recently sent the Android 12 beta update for its eligible devices, due to which, Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11, Redmi K40 Pro will be temporarily suspended from September 6, 2021.

Moreover, as Mi Mix Fold improves MIUI system application adaptability, it is compatible with more third-party applications and enhances the user experience. It is expected that the distribution will be suspended from August 16 to September 06, 2021.

MIUI 12.5 Enhanced:

On August 10, alongside Mi Mix 4, Xiaomi also released the enhanced version of its MIUI 12.5 in China. It mainly focuses on four fields, such as Liquid Storage, Atomic Memory, Focus Calculation, and Intelligent Balance. However, the Intelligent Balance is missing for global ROM.

Anyways, soon after its release, the tech has started rolling out the stable update to its eligible smartphone in China. Now the company has started releasing the update in international markets.

To be noted Xiaomi Mi 11X and Poco F3 have already been updated to MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Version in India and global respectively.
