At the Spring new product launch event in March this year, Xiaomi has officially made an announcement of electric car manufacturing. Since then, the company is preparing for the auto manufacturing sector by performing several steps such as member recruitment.
Meanwhile, the tech giant has now announced that the industrial and commercial registration of the Xiaomi Automobile Co. Ltd. has been completed. Reportedly, Lei Jun, the founder, Chairman, and CEO of the Xiaomi Group is leading this new entity, which has been set up with a registration capital of 10 billion yuan.

Moreover, around five months ago when Xiaomi announced the car production, the team is conducting a large number of user research and industry chain inspections.
Officials have claimed that they have built a team of around 300 members for the smart car business from more than 20,000 applicants. It’s not yet done with the hiring process and is looking to invite more people to join the team.
Recently, a famous blogger revealed that the Xiaomi New Energy team is doing it very quickly in the electric car division. In the past few days, they have been in contact with a world-renowned auto parts and emission technology supplier and are working on a design plan.
