Xiaomi 12 to equip three 50MP cameras

After the successful debut of the Mi 11 series worldwide, Xiaomi has plans to introduce its successor at the end of this year. Unlike Mi 11, the upcoming smartphone will be known as Xiaomi 12, as the tech giant has dropped the Mi branding in China.

Anyways, a piece of new information about the smartphone has been started surfing online. The report by a well-known Weibo blogger DigitalChatStation reveals that Xiaomi 12 will feature a triple camera setup.

The interesting this is that all these three cameras are of 50MP – a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP telephoto camera. He further states that the telephoto camera on the phone will use a 5x periscope zoom system.

This is all the tipster exposed, for now, we may get more details in the coming days. Anyways, for comparison, Xiaomi Mi 11 has a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 5MP telemacro camera.

Previously it was reported that Mi 12 will use Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 895 chipset and a high refresh rate OLED display with adaptive refresh rate support. It means that the smartphone will be able to automatically adjust between 1 – 120Hz refresh rate, depending on the usage scenario. This will make the device save more battery.

Moreover, the product is said to use a 5000mAh battery with 120W wired fast charge and 70-80W wireless charging capacity. Also, there could be three-state liquid cooling technology to keep the battery safe.
