New WhatsApp Ban Review feature will help to restore account

After iOS, WhatsApp is now working on the “WhatsApp Ban Review” feature for Android users. According to WABetaInfo, the new feature comes with WhatsApp build version 2.21.18.5.

It allows a user to send reports to WhatsApp directly via the app’s interface. One can mention a certain reason or an activity that could have caused such a ban for further details.

When using WhatsApp, one can get banned for different types of reasons and certain activities could come under spam. Sometimes the reason for the ban is valid but you remained good on all platforms and you still got banned, the app will be able to recover your banned account.

To do this, users will need to request to review a ban if they feel that their WhatsApp accounts have been wrongly banned. Once users have submitted the request, WhatsApp’s Support team will review their request, which includes reviewing a user’s account activity to verify if there is something wrong.

After the review is completed, the developers will restore the account if they found that the reason for banning the account is invalid. But if they do not find any reason to remove the ban, you won’t have any choice but to switch to another phone number to use the application.

How to Request a Review

After the company bans you, you will see a message such as “This account is not allowed to use WhatsApp due to spam, chats are still on this device”. On the same screen, you can find an option to “Request a review”.

Once you tap on ‘Request a Review’ you’ll get to see the main window, where you’ll have to fill in details you want to include in your review. Well, this is an optional setting, still, we suggest you to do so as it could help the chat app maker to better inspect the entire scenario.
