Xiaomi to soon fix the Poco F3 GT heating problem

On July 23, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco announced its gaming smartphone, Poco F3 GT in India. The phone is a rebadged variant of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition and is exclusive to Indian markets.

The phone gets huge success in the country but as soon as people purchased it they have started complaining about its heating issues. Users stated that their phone gets a bit warmer than usual during regular usage and but quickly heats up when playing games.

For some users, it’s just a normal heat while for others, it gets too hot to use. This problem has been reported by many people thus, it reached the Poco community members. And, the good thing is that they have ensured a soon fix for the problem.

In detail, every week, Xiaomi releases an MIUI bug report for its devices, which shows what issues of the smartphones the manufacturers are working on. In the latest bug report, the moderators mentioned the Poco F3 GT problem.

According to them, users are having heating issues on MIUI 12.5.4.0.RKJINXM and said that it will be addressed with an upcoming “temperature control strategy update”.

As of now, the company hasn’t revealed the schedule for the update. It is likely to be rolled out in a couple of weeks. It should be mentioned that this is just speculation and there’s no guarantee when the update will be released.
