On August 10, Xiaomi finally launched its Mi Pad 5 series tablets in China. The lineup includes three models, Mi Pad 5, Pad 5 Pro, and Pad 5 Pro 5G. Among them, the tech giant is rolling out a new software update for the Pro model.
The firmware can be identified via the Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 version V12.5.7.0.RKYCNXM brings a bunch of new features and optimizations. Below you can see what the new update brings with it.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Pro Update
Following the changelog, the new update adds rotate and scale the items selected by the stylus feature, black background for handwritten notes, designated folder for the notes made with a stylus, text recognition for handwritten notes, and switch writing tools and adjust stroke width by pressing the stylus buttons.
It further optimizes the overall stability of the Notes app, instructions for adding a fingerprint, default wallpaper, landscape mode in Mi Music, managing locations, settings for keyboards and styluses, the process of pairing a stylus, month view, animations for switching between different views, and the process of creating an event.
In addition, the Mi Pad 5 Pro will now have keyboard shortcuts, marker, pen, & eraser for editing screenshots, a music player in the Control center, partial screenshots, and system shortcuts.
Also, audio playback can now be cast to other devices via the Control center and apps can be opened in a floating window in Recents.
