Redmi K50 phones to equip Snapdragon 888 and 895 chipsets

After the successful debut of the Redmi K40 series, the Redmi K50 has already entered the rumor mill. The latest information about the device claims that similar to Redmi K40, K50 is also divided into three models.

The tipster Bald Panda has even shared the chipsets that the phones are going to be equipped with. According to him, the vanilla model will be powered by Snapdragon 888 chip, whereas the high and top versions will feature Snapdragon 895 SoC.

Considering the time, it is expected that the above-mentioned Snapdragon 895 chip will still be a product based on Samsung’s 4nm process. Adding to this, he said that Xiaomi will provide up to 100W (expected 120W) fast charging support for these models.

Redmi K50 Series:

Previously, Lu Weibing, who is the president of Xiaomi Group and general manager of the Redmi brand confirmed the arrival of the Redmi K50 series as he said that their team is discussing what features the next-generation product should come with.

When we talk about their specifications, at this moment, we do not have much information about the devices. A few weeks ago, a tipster unveiled that the upcoming phones will offer improvements to fast charging, video/imaging, and screen quality.

Regarding the gaming edition, we know that the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition features MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chip. Although this is a good chipset that gives outstanding performance, users are demanding a Qualcomm chip for its successor.

Redmi K50 Series Renders:

Last month we have witnessed the renders of Redmi K50 smartphones. Following the rendered design, the rear camera design with a bump reminds us of Huawei’s P50 smartphone.

For the front, it seems that a centered punch hole camera may be offing for the front-facing camera, although this remains in the realm of speculation. Others have assumed that an under-display camera could position the centered punch hole, although this is highly unlikely.
