Xiaomi announces to gift Mi 11 Ultra to all Indian medalists at Tokyo Olympics 2020

Tokyo Olympics 2020 officially ended yesterday, August 8. Soon after its pack-up, Manu Kumar Jain, the Managing Director of Xiaomi India announced to gift Mi 11 Ultra and Mi 11X smartphones to all the Indian athletes who won their matches.

His Twitter post states that Xiaomi values the grit and dedication that it takes to win an Olympics medal. He further said that as a gesture of thanks Xiaomi will humbly gift a Mi 11 Ultra to all the Indian Olympic medal winners. Superphone for Super Heroes.

Moreover, the Tokyo Olympics saw the best ever performance from the Indians. The country won a total of seven medals, which are the hight for India so far. Notably, the gold medal won by Neeraj Chopra in Javelin is India’s first-ever Gold in athletics in the history of the Olympic Games.

Other than Neeraj, Mirabai Chanu, Ravi Kumar Dahiya, Lovlina Borgohain, PV Sindhu and Bajrang Punia were the other athletes to win medals in Tokyo. Xiaomi will give a Mi 11 Ultra phone to all of these athletes.

In addition, each member of the Indian men’s hockey team will also get a smartphone but it’s Mi 11X. In case you don’t know, the Indian hockey team won a Bronze medal at the games the first in this sport since 1980.
