Latest MIUI 12.5 beta update brings new filters for photo editing

Xiaomi is rolling out a new MIUI 12.5 beta update for its eligible Mi and Redmi smartphones in China. The update that can be identified via the build version 21.8.6, improves system Gallery for users’ experience enhancement.

As per the changelog, it adds a bit-filling animation after deleting or adding a picture in the list of newly added pictures. It further adds four new photo editing filters, which are as follows –

  • Pinellia
  • Wakakusa
  • Sunset
  • Eclipse

Besides, the previous beta update fixes the problem of the slow pop-up window of scan code results. In case you don’t know, a pop-up window shows a brief message to users or lets them enter some information without taking over the whole device screen.

MIUI 12.5 Stable Update Release Status:

As we know that after the official release of MIUI 12.5 in China in December 2020, Xiaomi has begun sending stable updates to its eligible smartphones in March.

Following China, the stable update slowly crawled to global, India, and other major smartphone markets for Xiaomi. So far, several new, old, flagship, midranges, and budget phones have received the update while many are about to.
