Xiaomi has just announced the launch date for its first under-display camera phone – Mi Mix 4, which is August 10. Meanwhile, before the launch, some key details about the phone have appeared online.
Following the new information, the Mi Mix 4 will come with an all-ceramic unibody design and will have support for ultra-wideband (UWB) technology. Similar to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, UWB is a short-range, wireless communication protocol that operates through radio waves.
But unlike its counterparts, it operates at very high frequencies – a broad spectrum of GHz frequencies – and can be used to capture highly accurate spatial and directional data.

Moreover, a famous Weibo blogger DigitalChatStation has just shared a video of the smartphone that shows the phone’s screen panel that uses the new flexible CUP technology, under-display camera, and more.
It is reported that Mi Mix 4 is the world’s first proactive solution for flexible curved screens. It will use hyperboloid screens that are said to be more delightful to the eyes than the four-curved screen.
The leaked video further shows that the front-facing camera sensor is placed in the middle of the screen. It is implemented such that there is no clear difference between the result of the front camera and the rear camera.

The Mi Mix 4 is expected to have a 6.67 inches FH+ curved OLED screen with a high refresh rate. It will be powered by Snapdragon 888 or Snapdragon 888+ chipset, coupled with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFC 3.1 storage.
Previously, the TENAA listing reveals that the phone will be available in two storage variants such as 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage.
Moreover, its camera setup could include a 50MP Samsung GN1s primary camera. And its 5,000mAh battery supports above 120W wired fast charging and around 80W wireless fast charging. About its software, MIUI 12.5 has been already confirmed for the device.
