Redmi is working on two new phones with Snapdragon 8-series and Dimensity 1100 chips

After releasing multiple smartphones earlier this year, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has plans to release more in the second half of this year. A piece of fresh information by a Chinese tipster gives us a hint at these products.

The Weibo blogger reveals that the tech giant is working on two new Redmi smartphones. One will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8-series chip while the other will equip MediaTek Dimensity 1100 processor.

He further claims that the device that will be powered by a Snapdragon 8-series chip will feature a 120Hz OLED panel, a 5,000mAhbattery, a telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and 30x zoom.

On the other hand, the Dimensity 1100 SoC-powered phone will offer a 120Hz display, a 64MP camera, and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging technology.

Right now, the identities of the upcoming devices are under wraps. However, the specs of the first model suggest that it could be a K40 series phone. Probably, the Redmi K40 Ultra.

Aside from this, the informer further claims that the brand will also be launching a smartphone with an under-display camera, curved display, and 100W fast charging technology next year.
