Xiaomi is currently speedy working on providing Android 11 and MIUI 12.5 updates for its eligible smartphones worldwide. At the same time, the tech giant is also releasing monthly security patches.
It’s July and like other smartphone vendors, Xiaomi has also begun sending the security updates of this month. A couple of phones such as Redmi 9 and Redmi Note 8T have already received them. While the Redmi Note 8 is the latest to collect it.

This security update will save your device from bugs and viruses and will improve the security and stability of your device’s system. The changelog also mentions Android 11, which has been already rolled out for the phone.
It should be mentioned that the fresh update is currently only available for Mi Pilot testers and for global ROM users. It may be rolled out widely in the coming days or weeks.
Anyways, users can identify the new update via the Android 11 based MIUI 12 version V12.0.1.0.RCOMIXM. And, to experience it, they will have to download and install the package of more than 1GB o their smartphones.
