Xiaomi launches Android 12 Beta for Mi 10 and Mi 10T smartphones

Following the first release of Android 12 beta, several smartphone brands such as Xiaomi has begun rolling out the update for their eligible smartphones. At first, the Android 12 beta was only limited to Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11i, Mi 11X Pro, and Redmi K40 Pro smartphones.

Meanwhile, as per the new information, the tech giant has expanded the update to more Xiaomi devices. The following is the eligible device list.

  • Mi 10
  • Mi 10 Pro
  • Mi 10 Ultra
  • Mi 10T
  • Mi 10T Pro
  • Redmi K30S Ultra

According to xiaomiui, the Android 12 beta testing for these phones have been started on July 13. This release is only for testing purposes and it will provide users with all the features needed to improve the compatibility and development of your application for the next version of Android.

We already know that the Android 12 has an entirely new design called “Material You”, which replaces the old Material design. Material You reconstructs the way we use shapes, colors, shapes, and motion. Essentially Android 12 has a new theming engine.

Besides, yesterday, Google has released the third beta for Android 12, which brings a bunch of new features. One of the key highlights of Beta 3 is the Scrolling Screenshot feature. When capturing scrolling content, there will be a new button on the screen that says “capture more”. It lets you adjust what the screenshot should include.
