Currently, when we send an image or video to someone via WhatsApp, its quality goes down, which is really disgusting. Meanwhile, the latest WhatsApp update brings a ray of hope that it might finally allow people to send photos the way or the quality they like.
WhatsApp is a popular and free-to-use messenger that allows you to send pictures, videos, audio, documents, and others. The developers are continuously adding new features to the platform, still, you’ll find it lacking features. One of such features is sending pictures without compressing.

Although one can share an original quality of a picture on WhatsApp by sending the file as a document. But other social networking apps such as Telegram let users share videos at different quality levels. Thus, WhatsApp has also decided to add this functionality to the application.
Anyways, according to WABetainfo, the new WhatsApp beta update is allowing users to send photos without being ruined by heavy compression. The company is preparing to add three different photo quality options, which are as follows.
- Auto (recommended): WhatsApp will choose between best quality and data saver and apply one of these according to your connection.
- Best Quality: Will upload every video in high quality
- Data Saver: Will compress and send your uploaded video
It should be mentioned that the select picture quality feature is currently under development. Thus, it is only available for a few WhatsApp users. Besides, WhatsApp developers are already working on a similar feature for video quality.
Thus, it could be possible that both video and image quality options would arrive at the same time.
