Xiaomi’s upcoming Mi Mix Flip could be cheap variant of Galaxy Z Flip

Last month, Xiaomi published a new smartphone patent design large camera modules on the rear, which looks identical to Samsung’s Galaxy S21 series. Meanwhile, the company has now patented a foldable smartphone that resembled the Galaxy Z Flip.

According to LetsGoDigital, the smartphone patent was released on July 2, 2021, by Beijing Xiaomi Mobile Software. The foldable phone with a clamshell design has a double punch-hole camera and a round-shaped triple camera on the back.

When unfolded, its screen edges look slightly wider than the regular Xiaomi phone. A wide hole that is embedded in the top left corner for a double punch-hole selfie camera indicates that Xiaomi wants to appeal to successful young people with this phone.

On the rear, there’s a circular camera setup with three camera lenses. On the right, there are physical buttons, presumably the power button and the volume buttons. Whereas the bottom has space for the SIM compartment, a USB-C port, and a speaker.

When we talk about its design, it is identical to the cheap Redmi Note 9T smartphone. Also, the design does not seem to have a cover display, which is partly why we believe that this phone could be cheaper than Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. Even the rear design also indicates its affordable pricing.

Anyways, we also do not know if the company is actually working on such a device or it is just covering all bases. It is said the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is launching in August, it could be possible that this model, “Xiaomi Mi Mix Flip” will be introduced around the same period.
