Xiaomi has begun rolling out the MIUI 12.5 update for Mi 9 Pro smartphones in its home country. Along with the highlight “MIUI 12.5. Yours alone”, the changelog for the update mentions a handful of new features and changes.
It brings all new notes, which allows you to save texts, URLs, and images to the Notes app in a few simple taps. You can immediately press and hold a sketch to adjust the strokes automatically.

A gesture shortcut now allows you to create notes, tasks, and excerpts anywhere. The Dynamic layouts bring the typography in Notes to a new level. It further creates mind maps with complex structures and adds new tools for doodling and sketching.
Moreover, with 20 times more rendering power, there are now few limits to what you can see on your screen. Also, the response to gestures has become instant. And, of course, the MIUI 12.5 update will make your device lighter, faster, and durable.
Adding to these, the changelog mentions May 2021 Android security patch. This security patch will save your device from bugs and viruses and will improve the security of its system.
However, the changelog doesn’t explain but we already know that MIUI 12.5 brings lots of changes in UI as well as in the settings page, new super wallpapers, new sounds, updated apps, more privacy, more security, and other features.

The MIUI 12.5 update for Mi 9 Pro 5G can be identified via the Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 build version V12.5.1.0.RFXCNXM. To experience it, users will have to download and install the package of 2.8GB on their smartphones.
