Android 11 update for Poco X3 is now live in India

Xiaomi has finally begun sending the Android 11 update for Poco X3 smartphones in India. The smartphone was launched in September 2020. It entered the smartphone market with pre-installed Android 10 based MIUI 12 OS.

The device is also eligible to get MIUI 12.5 update. Xiaomi has almost sent the MIUI 12.5 to all of its newer smartphones and it will not begin sending for other smartphones. We believe that Poco X3 will soon be updated to MIUI 12.5.

Anyways, Android 11 isn’t the only highlight of new firmware. It also gets May 2021 security patch for better system security. It will also save your device from bugs and viruses.

Adding to these, the changelog for the update mentions that the GPS toggle in the status bar or notification shade is now renamed as “Location”. Users can notice the other major changes or new features after updating the device, the changelog doesn’t mention anything more.

Moreover, the new software update for Poco X3 comes with build version V12.0.1.0.RJGINXM. It can be download and installed in 2.4GB of data. Since it weighs more than 1GB, users should download it by using an unmetered connection or WiFi.

It should be mentioned that the Android 11 update is only currently only available for Mi Pilot testers. It will be rolled out for more users in the coming days/weeks.
