Do you remember Redmi Note 5? The phone was launched in 2018 and there were no hopes for it to receive any update. Surprisingly, Xiaomi has just begun sending a new firmware update for Redmi Note 5 smartphones in its home country.
The update, which can be identified via the Android 9 based MIUI 12 version V12.0.3.0.PEICNXM carries a bunch of changes and an Android security patch for the month of September 2019.
As per the changelog, the new firmware first mentions that the comprehensive design has been optimized for full-screen display devices. It further removes visual clutter, improves touch controls, and refines the use of color allowed us to create a system where nothing stands between you and the content.

With the new update, notification sounds won’t make you tired. Now, they keep changing dynamically, just like nature does. It now allows you to transfer files from phone to phone at breakneck speeds.

Besides, to experience the latest update, users will have to download and install the package of 2.0GB on their respective Note 5 handsets. Since it weighs more than 1GB, it is recommended that download and install it by using an unmetered connection or WiFi.
