In late 2020, Xiaomi officially uncovered the latest MIUI 12.5 OS in China and later in other regions. Soon after its release, the OEM started sending beta updates to its eligible smartphone and finally started the stable rollouts in late March.
So far, several smartphones have been updated to MIUI 12.5. Now, as the firm is about to finish the rollout for newer smartphones, a company executive revealed the name of the older flagship that will get the MIUI 12.5 update in near future.

Earlier in August this year, a Xiaomi executive has confirmed that the MIUI 12.5 will also arrive on older devices such as Xiaomi Mi 8 series, MIX 2S, and MIX 3. Meanwhile now, he said that the update is ready.
In detail, recently, a Weibo user asked Zhang Guoquan, the director of Xiaomi mobile system software if the Mi 8 will be updated to MIUI 12.5. In reply to this, the executive simply said, the update is ready.
However, the official doesn’t say about other above-mentioned devices but we believe that as the company is all set for MIUI 12.5 for Mi 8, other smartphones will also receive it shortly.
