Xiaomi MIUI 13 launch seems imminent as the MIUI Cleaner app gets MIUI 13 support

It’s been a year since the launch of MIUI 12. Soon after its release, we’ve started hearing rumors about MIUI 13. But in December 2020, Xiaomi surprisingly announced MIUI 12.5.

Since then we haven’t even heard about MIUI 13, while now, MIUI 13 is back in the spotlight. Going by the new information, the new update for the MIUI Cleaner app has traces for MIUI 13.

In detail, on May 26, the MIUI Cleaner app received V21.05.26.beta, and its changelog revealed that Xiaomi is already adapting its domestic applications to the next generation MIUI 13.

As Xiaomi has now started updating its applications for MIUI 13 compatibility, there’s a high chance for the next-gen MIUI to go official very soon.

  • General development of engines for garbage cleaning
  • Adaptation to the state of the floating window of MIUI 13
  • Fix known issues

A few days ago, we have has a report claiming that MIUI 13 will be officially released on June 25, at least in its home country. However, information by Wang Hua, the Public Relations Department of Xiaomi Group exposed that the MIUI 13 will not launch on June 25th. He said that the company has not yet decided the date.

Furthermore, this time the Chinese tech is said to introduce the new version of its custom skin MIUI 13 based on Android 12. Unlike old tales of MIUI that are based on at least two Android versions, MIUI 13 will completely be different.

Thus we believe that Xiaomi’s MIUI 13 will be introduced after Android 12, which is said to be uncovered in September this year.
