Kernel Source codes released for Redmi Note 10 Pro

Recently, Xiaomi has released kernel source codes for its new Redmi Note 10 Pro smartphones. On March 4, the company has officially the Redmi Note series in Indian and Global markets.

However, the are 4G variants, and the tech has also released the 5G version of the smartphone in China. It is expected to be soon launched in other major markets too.

Anyways, the kernel source codes are one of the cornerstones of a flourishing aftermarket community that allows developers to build stable custom ROMs, kernels, and more.

Every Android smartphone brand is bound by the General Public Licence v2 (GPLv2) to publicly release the part of the Linux kernel code they shipped on their Android devices.

Each OEM has its own direction when it comes to fulfilling this necessary task. Some drop the sources on the very first day the smartphone launches, while some might take weeks or even months to do the same job.

However, there are no fixed rules regarding their release but ideally, you want a company to release the sources within the first few weeks of the device launch. But this time, Xiaomi is late for more than a couple of months to release these codes for Note 10 Pro.
