MIUI Tip: How to turn on bedtime mode in Xiaomi smartphones

The new Bedtime Mode is mostly a rebranding of the old “Wind Down” feature in Digital Wellbeing. When bedtime rolls around, your phone will disable notifications and even make the screen turn black and white in an effort to help you unplug.

It allows you to block all data usage during set time periods. This feature helps you control usage during hours when you’re less likely to use apps on your device.

How to Activate Bedtime Mode – 

  • Go to Settings
  • Open Digital Wellbeings and parental controls
  • Click Bedtime Mode
  • Pick your Settings
  • Set a schedule, and you are done

How to pause Bedtime mode –

You can pause Bedtime mode at any time. There are 2 ways to pause Bedtime mode:

If you have the Bubble tracker turned on:

  1. Tap the Bubble.
  2. In the pop-up that appears, tap Pause bedtime mode.

If you don’t have the Bubble tracker turned on:

  1. Open Digital Wellbeings
  2. Tap Bedtime mode
  3. Tap Pause bedtime mode

Note: When Bedtime mode is on, you can also tap the Bedtime notification in the status bar to pause the feature.

How to turn off Bedtime mode –

To turn off Bedtime mode before your selected end time, follow the steps below:

  1. Open Digital Wellbeings
  2. Tap Bedtime mode
  3. Choose Turn off bedtime mode
